La Trampa de la Actividad
La trampa de la actividad cambia el énfasis hacia el objetivo por la ejecución. La actividad es necesaria, pero será valiosa o inútil según sea su aporte a los objetivos.
Cuando la actividad toma el lugar de los objetivos, se desperdician recursos y los humanos se merman. Terminan tan ocupados que no tienen tiempo de descifrar lo que están haciendo y menos para disfrutarlos.
Los gerentes que fracasan caen en la trampa de la actividad, se enredan de tal modo en la ejecución, que pierden de vista la razón de hacerla, y la actividad se transforma en una meta en sí. Por el contrario, los ejecutivos triunfadores han adquirido la habilidad de concentrarse en los objetivos y en las metas.
